Nemo Fetal Monitoring Systeem
Safe and accurate monitoring
The professionals at Nemo are committed to developing monitoring products that offer maximum comfort to pregnant women and provide effective support to healthcare professionals. They have now successfully developed a number of medical products for the safe and accurate monitoring of the unborn child, measured on the mother's abdomen. The monitoring is based on the detection and processing of electrophysiological signals.
Nemo Fetal Monitoring Systeem
Non-invasive monitoring device for monitoring heart rate
The Nemo Fetal Monitoring System is Nemo Healthcare's first commercial product. It is a non-invasive monitoring device for monitoring the heartbeat of the unborn child, the mother's heartbeat and uterine activity during pregnancy. It can be used from the 21st week of pregnancy until the birth of the child.

Key benefits of the Nemo Fetal Monitoring System:
user-friendly and comfortable for mother and child
greater freedom of movement for pregnant women
reliable and accurate measurements, from the 21st week of pregnancy until the birth of the child
innovative, non-invasive solution
ideal for monitoring women with a higher BMI (Body Mass Index)
no need to reposition the patch when the foetus moves

Signal filtering
The Nemo Fetal Monitoring Systeem uses an advanced patch (Nemo Patch) with six electrodes. The heart rate of the unborn child and the mother are determined on the basis of measured ECG signals from both. Uterine activity is obtained via EMG signals during contraction of the uterine muscle.
The measured signals are sent wirelessly to a Nemo Base via the Nemo Link. The Nemo Base contains smart algorithms that filter the received electrophysiological signals in such a way that the heart rate of the unborn child and the mother, as well as the uterine activity, remain. This information is then sent to a central monitoring system in the hospital. There, an obstetrician closely monitors the development of the heart rates and uterine activity on a screen. The development of the foetus's and mother's heartbeats and uterine activity can also be monitored on the Nemo Base.
The Nemo Base
The Nemo Base contains two Nemo Links that contain rechargeable batteries and can therefore be used alternately when a pregnant woman needs to be monitored for more than 24 hours. The Nemo Base also contains a rechargeable battery. This allows a pregnant woman to be monitored even when she is being moved from one place to another.
Experiences of mothers
"During my pregnancy, I felt confident that my baby was being monitored properly."
"The freedom of movement was great! I could even shower with it on. The plaster was more comfortable because it wasn't pressed onto my stomach with a strap."
